Personal information about you is collected over the phone, in person, via email or through Facebook Messenger.

The type of information we are legally required to collect about you includes your name, your address, email address and your phone number, which vet you use and a local emergency contact phone number. It is important for us to have a complete profile of you as this will assist staff to deliver the appropriate care to your dog or cat.

We collect information about this because of legal obligation under section 61(2) of The Animal Health and Welfare (England) Act 2006, Animal Boarding Establishments Act 1963 and conditions of our Animal Boarding Licence.

Any personal information we hold about you is processed for the purposes of –
The holding of your data is necessary for us to comply with the law (as above); to assist in good animal care; in dialoguing with your vet if necessary, for the care of your pet and to provide you with the best service possible.

Other things we may do with your personal data include;

• Reminding you about your dog(s)/cat(s) appointments and send you relevant correspondence.
• Review the care we provide to your dog(s)/cat(s) to ensure it is of the highest standard and quality
• Report and investigate complaints, claims and untoward incidents;
• Contact you with regards to satisfaction surveys relating to services you have used to further improve our services
• We may also need to share relevant personal information with the local authority who have a right to see your data.

We hold and process your information in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 as amended by the GDPR 2016, as explained above.
We have a duty to:
• Maintain full and accurate records of the care we provide to your dog(s)/cat(s);
• Keep records about you confidential and secure;
• Provide information in a format that is accessible to you.
